Does this remind you at all of the photograph on my blog by Richard Box of his 'Field' of fluorescent tubes, planted in the ground, one of them in the snow, which uncannily ressembles the sand of your pictures?
I accessed it earlier at http://mail.kingston.ac.uk but I haven't tried this evening.
Blogger is causing me problems all the time at the moment and I've just been wiring up a 'bottle light', not easy for someone like me, and the results are uninspiring - damn! Back to the drawing board.

PS are you able to access the KU email? I cannot find the sharepoint login page, it is gone!?
